Wilfred Graves, Jr., Ph.D

Wilfred Graves, Jr., Ph.D., is a distinguished scholar, educator, and minister with a passion for and commitment to education and spiritual growth. A recipient of a full scholarship to the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), he graduated in 1994 as one of the top ten mathematics students. He went on to earn a Master of Science in Statistics from Stanford University (1996) and two advanced degrees from Fuller Theological Seminary: a Master of Divinity (1999) and a Ph.D. in Historical Theology (2007).

Dr. Graves’ professional journey includes a five-year tenure as an aerospace engineer at Northrop Grumman, where he applied his statistical expertise to various engineering initiatives. Today, he leverages his mathematical background for research and community education. 

As the founder of Wilfred Graves Ministries, he is a passionate advocate for educational opportunities, providing stipends and resources to support college and graduate students since 2016. His dedication to educational enrichment reflects his broader vision of empowering young minds and fostering lifelong learning.

In addition to his academic and professional achievements, Dr. Graves has been a devoted minister for nearly three decades. Ordained in 1999, he currently serves as a teaching pastor, scholar in residence, and executive director of Ministerial Training and Development at West Angeles Church of God in Christ. He also holds leadership roles as Chairman of the Ministerial Alliance and Board of Elders and has contributed significantly as a faculty member at West Angeles Bible College, Fuller Theological Seminary, and Talbot School of Theology. A gifted author, his book, In Pursuit of Wholeness: Experiencing God’s Salvation for the Total Person (2011), offers encouragement and practical insights for those seeking healing and restoration. Dr. Graves is deeply committed to sharing the transformative power of God’s love and grace, bringing hope and healing to individuals and communities alike.
